Our Club

Application for Membership

If you've decided you would like to join our Probus Club, contact our club Secretary via the address on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Registration Form for Club Outings and/or Tours

As a result of adopting the Risk Management Policy included in the Standing Resolutions for the club in July 2016, all club members are required to have signed a waiver form (known as a ROT form) in order to participate in club outings, tours and other activities. It is only necessary to sign this declaration once, not each time you attend an event.

This declaration is now included in the club membership application form, but if you joined the club before August 2017, you may not have completed a ROT form. ROT forms were distributed to most existing members in February 2018, but if you missed out, please click here to get a copy of this form (PDF file), print it, complete all the details, then post the completed form to Probus Port Melbourne (using the postal address on the ‘Contact Us’ page) or give it to the Secretary at a club meeting.

It is also necessary for guests of members attending any of our club outings (not including meetings) to fill out and sign this form.

Life Membership Nomination

Life Membership may be conferred upon a member who has rendered outstanding service to the Club. Life Members are not required to pay the Club’s annual membership subscription but enjoy all other privileges of membership.

Club members may nominate someone who they feel warrants this recognition by completing a Life Member Nomination form and submitting it to the Committee. The Committee will consider the nomination and if they agree that the nominated person meets the criteria to become a Life Member the matter will be referred to the next General Meeting for confirmation by special resolution of members.

Click here to get a copy of the Nomination form.

Note that the club constitution stipulates that there can only be two Life Members at any one time.
